Pressed flowers
Book Pressed flowers add great sentimental value and makes for a fun walk in nature to look for them <3 I started with a few small flowers and pressed them with a couple of heavy books with a paper towel between the flowers and the books to absorb the moisture you want to get rid of from the flower to prevent mold. There are two ways to press flowers. One requires a Flower press and the other is by simply stacking heavy objects on the flowers and letting them sit for 4-7 days. The flower press takes up less space and does the job quicker in my opinion.
How to press big flowers:
- remove the bulky center petals
- Cut the stem off
- Now press flat on a piece of paper towel
- Put a heavy microwave safe object on top of the flower (ex. a glas)
- Microwave for 15 sec
- Change the paper towel and microwave for 15 sec
